Music icon Sharon Cuneta stirred excitement among her fans after she appeared to have teased her former leading man Aga Muhlach about a possible reunion project.
On Instagram last Friday, May 21, Sharon posted a photo collage of herself and Aga and in the caption described the actor as her best friend and one of her favorite leading men.
"Always one of my best friends and one of my favorite leading men for 18 years now. Sumbungan ko pa rin! Thank you, Teng, for praying and being there for me, always making me laugh kahit di tayo nagkikita or nakakapag-usap ng madalas! Ikaw lang pa rin ang puede tumawag sakin ng 'gaga!' Hahahaha!" she said.
She then wrote, "Tara! Game na!" at the end of her caption, which several fans seemed to think as a reference to a possible reunion project.
It was in 2003 when Sharon, 55, and Aga, 51, were paired in the hit Star Cinema movie Kung Ako Na Lang Sana.
In 2010, the two had a much-publicized rift, which began when Sharon got upset at Aga for purportedly turning down their second movie project.
They eventually reconciled, with Aga saying he was willing to work with Sharon again in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
"In time kapag dumating ang tamang proyekto para sa amin, why not? I will be willing to work with her. She knows naman that," he said.
Currently, fans of Sharon are excited for her planned reunion project with her former husband and onscreen partner Gabby Concepcion.
The two last worked together in 2018, for a TV commercial for a fast food chain they both endorsed. On the big screen, they were last seen together in the movie Tayong Dalawa in 1992, 11 years since they were first paired in the 1981 film Dear Heart.
