In the entertainment industry, it is not unheard of for people to get body part insurance, singers insuring their vocal cords, models having their face insured, and even athletes getting specific body parts insured. Singer Mariah Carey reportedly had her legs insured for $1 billion while football star David Beckham had his insured for $70 million. In local showbiz, actress Gladys Reyes denied the rumor she had her legs insured because of how flawless they look.

In local showbiz, actress Gladys Reyes denied the rumor she had her legs insured because of how flawless they look.
“Hindi po totoo. Chismis lang yun (laughs). At saka hindi rin totoo yung sinsasabi nila na naliligo ako ng mineral water, hindi po totoo yun. Chika lang yun. Pero gusto ko pasalamat na ng nanay ko sa pag-aalaga ng kutis ko ever since nung bata ako. So I guess maganda rin na bata pa lang inaalagaan na yung kutis. Naging maingat kasi yung mother ko sa akin kaya eventually siyempre parang nakakahiya naman kung ako pa yung hindi mag-iingat sa sarili ko ‘no? Hindo po totoo na insured,” she explained during her hosting stint at the Orabella Direct Selling Inc. mediacon.
“Hindi po totoo. Chismis lang yun (laughs). At saka hindi rin totoo yung sinsasabi nila na naliligo ako ng mineral water, hindi po totoo yun. Chika lang yun. “Wala naman talagang sikreto. Pero malaking factor na I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, and siguro yung moderating din ng food. Kinakain ko lahat eh. Dati hindi ako kumakain ng beef at pork pero eventually kakailanganin din ng katawan mo. Like I like sinigang so paano ako hindi kakain ng pork? Importante lang siguro na alam mo na in moderation lang din yung kakainin mo. And wala din ako masyadong seremonyas sa mukha or sa katawan before I sleep. Pero importante na malinis na malinis tayo. Kunwari may makeup tayo, make sure malinis talaga yung makeup, maalis talaga before you sleep lalo na ako very sensitive yung part na yun ng skin ko sa face. Kaya ayan meron ng pimple kagad pagka meron kang na-miss na spot na hindi mo nalinis kaagad. Kaya importante din yung kinakain and yung wala kang bisyo hangga’t maaari.”

“Actually more on gumaganap ako na ako yung inaapi like sa mga guestings. And yung very first movie ko na ako yung inaapi was Anak ng Dilim way back under Regal films. Pero parang mas type ko na ako yung nang-aapi. Parang masyado kang nakakulob sa box. Hindi ko mailabas lahat. Iba pa rin talaga pag ikaw yung nang aapi. Parang mas gusto ko na ako yung nananakit talaga (laughs). And because of the pandemic, very careful kami ni Christopher sa pagpili muna and alam mo naman yung sistema ngayon kailangan mag-lock-in ka, naka-bubble ka. So si Christopher ang dami talaga niyang offers na hindi niya tinanggap. Pero hopefully, ang gusto ko talaga kung gagawa ako ng serye yung talagang gustong gusto ko yung role,” she said.
