After sharing that she flew to the US last week on a solo vacation to have a breather and collect herself, veteran actress and singer Sharon Cuneta shared how much she is enjoying her break outside the country in a recent Instagram post last May 19. Currently staying in Los Angeles, California, the 55-year-old singer also shared some wishful thinking on the possibility of relocating to the United States someday.
She wrote, “My gosh. Being here makes it seem like Covid is a lot farther away than it ever was. I love the weather now (it’s cold), and aside from seeing people wearing masks and not being able to watch movies at cinemas, eating at restaurants tables apart, it almost feels like life is normal again...I love being ‘home’ here. Though I lived in Boston for a year++ and love New York, the West Coast has always felt like home to me since I was a little girl. I could live here forever. Kiko would NEVER leave the Philippines no matter what though. I could. In a heartbeat! Sorry na lang life is short. Kakie will continue her studies in New York this year, God-willing. Miel will probably follow in a couple of years. Though these two daughters of mine are just as Nationalistic as their father. My Miguel however, wants to live here with me. KC got her green card long before I did. Patay at iba-iba kami! Ngek.”
Last May 18, Sharon shared that she had gotten her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in a hospital in the US. She also thanked the Filipina nurse named Trixia who administered the vaccine. The Your Face Sounds Familiar judge did not share details on when she was planning to fly back to the country or what made her decide to fly out earlier this month.
In previous posts, the Megastar said that she is flying home to her grandmother’s country where she and her eldest daughter KC Concepcion are legal residents. Sharon wrote, "I need to breathe, collect myself, gain strength.”
