Actress Kris Bernal took Instagram by storm over the weekend as she shared photos from her birthday shoot where she went topless.
Kris, who turned 32 this Monday, May 17, surprised her over 1.8 million followers on the image-sharing app with the sensuous photographs shot by Josh Ke at Lucas Studios.
In the caption of her posts, the actress shared the lessons she learned as she turned another year older.
"MATURITY. Maturity does come with age but still not all people who are at 30s can be called mature. I think with all the experiences that I carried throughout my journey, I learned how to be mature in different aspects. Maturity in dealing with people, situation, and in dealing with myself. I learned the hard way tho! It wasn’t an easy ride especially when the pandemic hit but yes it contributed to my maturity," she said.
"GROWTH. I don’t try to interchange the word growth and maturity. I think it is related to each other but it is completely different from each other as well. Growth is something that you constantly encounter. I’ve grown so much in the past years of my life and I continue to grow. This is something I embrace: that I am not a perfect person and I’m a work in progress. I continue to choose growth everyday no matter how hard the journey may be for me to grow," she wrote.
"BODY POSITIVITY. Body positivity is not just about how someone looks. It’s embracing who you are as a person. Tbh, before I used to get affected on how people perceive how I look, 'Pandak, Anorexic, Butiki, Kawayan...' and the list goes on, but now I learned how to bring positivity to myself and other people by embracing my flaws. There’s always beauty in embracing who you are and working towards making yourself better," she said.
After sharing her birthday pictorial on Instagram, fans and fellow celebrities greeted her a happy birthday, including actress and fashion icon Heart Evangelista.
Kris, 32, recently made headlines after she addressed questions on possibly transferring to ABS-CBN.
"Kung saan ako dalhin ni Lord. I never choose or reject a project because I see opportunities as valuable so I conder every role or show that is given to me. As I said, kung saan may trabaho, doon ako," she said.
"Only if there's an opportunity or wherever I'll get accepted, that's where I'll go for," she added.
