Before making it big in South Korea as a member of the popular K-pop girl group 2NE1 in 2009, Sandara Park was already a known name in the Philippines.
The quirky Korean first joined local showbiz via the 2004 ABS-CBN talent search Star Circle Quest where she was known as “Ang Pambansang Krung-Krung.”
After becoming runner up in SCQ, Dara released her self-titled album that same year which reached platinum status. One of the most catchy tracks in the album was the dance single “In or Out,” which featured a music video showing some of Dara’s experiences in the talent show.

In a locally produced music video used by Netflix to promote their new zombie heist film Army of the Dead, Dara’s song gets a hip new remix while being performed by a zombie singer that also eerily looks like American singer Bruno Mars. A zombie dressed up in one of Dara’s most memorable K-pop looks also makes an appearance in the three-minute video. Dara herself does not make any appearance in the video or have any involvement despite the many references to her.
