After doing the drama Walang Hanggang Paalam and getting ready for his upcoming series Marry Me, Marry You, actor Paulo Avelino revealed his latest business venture with esports company LuponWXC which he considers to be part of a growing and promising part of a new kind of entertainment industry.

I think this industry is also entertainment at the end of the day. At kung entertainment ito, parang in the future I’m sure there’s going to be more projects, more plans, and hopefully makasama namin kayo pag nangyari yung mga yun,” he shared during the LuponWXC mediacon last May 11.

Even though he is known as a leading man in many Kapamilya projects on TV and movies, Paulo said he has always been a gamer at heart when he was young.

Partnering with LuponWXC founder and local gaming icon Nico “KuyaNic” Nazario, Paulo said he and his business partners aim to level up the quality of esports and gamers here in the country.

“Yung una, parang tina-try namin yung best namin na i-up yung quality lagi. So ang daming ininvest na equipment, ilaw, camera, computers tapos at the same time yung building pa. Very solid na kasi yung foundation nila for DOTA and ML so tina-try pa namin i-broaden or ikalat pa sa Pilipinas and I see this industry becoming probably not as big as the showbiz industry but almost tapping into that. Kasi andun na eh, nakikita niyo na lahat ng streamers sa Facebook, sila Doggie, sila Alodia, they get thousands and thousands of viewers. Kumbaga gusto talaga namin na patibayin pa itong industriya para mapakinabangan nating lahat in the future,” he explained.

Paulo said he has also been providing support to gamers who do not have access to the same resources he has.

Now that he is not just an actor, producer, but business owner as well, Paulo said he will make an effort to give time and manage his different passions in life.

“Worse ako pagdating sa time management eh.
