Veteran actress-singer Sharon Cuneta on Tuesday, May 11, left the country to embark on a solo vacation abroad, saying she needs the break to "breathe" and "collect" herself.
On Instagram, Sharon shared photos of herself in an emotional moment with her husband Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan" and their three kids as she prepared to leave for the airport.
"Praying and saying bye to my family," she wrote in the caption.
In another post, Sharon posted photos of herself arriving at the airport, as she shared that she will be flying home to a country where only she and her eldest child, KC Concepcion, are legal residents among the family.
"I’m going home. Of course my real home, where my heart is, is where my husband and children are. But tonight I am flying home to my Mommy’s Gramps’ country, where only my eldest and I are legal residents," she said.
"I need to breathe, collect myself, gain strength. Love you all and will miss you guys," she added.
Based on her most recent update, Sharon flew to Los Angeles, California, which she considers her second home and where she used to own a mansion.
Sharon's trip to L.A. comes weeks after she admitted that she was not in a very good place in an emotional FaceTime call with KC.
"Too much going on, too many bad things," she said at that time, without going into details.
Currently, Sharon is seen as a judge in pre-taped episodes of the ABS-CBN celebrity competition Your Face Sounds Familiar.
She did not say how long she will be staying in L.A., nor what made her decide to fly out despite the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.
