More than a month after her 70-year-old mom Sandra Garcia’s passing due to COVID-19 and heart disease complications, actress Jean Garcia shared in her latest Instagram post how she is dealing with the loss of a parent.
She wrote, “There isn't a day that goes by where you aren't on my mind. Memories of you flood me every single time and I can't ever find the words to express how thankful I am to have had you as my mom. It is something I thank God for everyday..”
The 51-year-old actress wrote in her open letter to her late mom how she felt about her first Mother’s day without her.
“Mommy, I am holding on today the beautiful memories we had and the incomparable sacrifices you made for all of us that continuously inspire me to live, move on and do better each day. Thank you for being that one person who knew what’s exactly in my heart when my mouth can’t speak. For silently listening to the things I know NO ONE can fully understand. Please forgive me for all my shortcomings. I know I am not a perfect daughter for you. Know that I am still in great regret until this very day, because I missed out one important thing—I wasn’t able to grant more of the things your heart longs for. I always hope to bring back the time so I could live out every single day as if it were a grand MOTHER’S DAY celebration, to have much more time and opportunities to make you PROUD...and fulfill all the dreams you have for me and our family,” she shared.
Before ending her post, Jean showed appreciation for her mom’s life as well as the all the other lives she has touched.
“A million THANK YOU’s would not even be close to enough as to how many you deserve. You were gone way too soon, but the impact you have left is substantial. I hope you know that. You were the light in so many people’s lives and you will forever have a place in our hearts. You are heavily missed, but we are looking forward to the day when we can see you again. I believe DEATH is not the end, because I know in my heart our love for each other will go on. Alam ko na masaya ka na ngayon kasama si Daddy Boy at Tatay Junior. I love you Mommy!!! Fly HIGH and be our ANGEL on this earth. ️ 🏻,” she wrote.
