A month after Gretchen Barretto celebrated her 51st birthday, dermatologist-to-the-stars Aivee Teo released a vlog chronicling the star’s journey towards turning a year older.

As La Greta geared up for her 51st birthday, she pampered herself by having beauty sessions at Aivee Teo’s clinic.

In a vlog released earlier this week, Aivee teased her good friend about looking even more beautiful without makeup and said she looks younger than ever even though she’s now 51.

“Uy, magbibirthday na ‘to,” Aivee teased Gretchen.

“I know right? Oh my god, I’m going to be 42,” the actress joked about her age. With her youthful looks, she can be mistaken for a much younger woman.

One of the people inside the room said: “I thought you’re just 35, Ma’am Gretch.” To which Aivee responded with: “I know. That’s true.”

Asked how she feels about turning a year older, Gretchen answered: “Um, well, depressing.”

“Because it’s your special day and I wanted to do something because I love you,” Aivee told Gretchen.

Aivee also gave Gretchen a speech as she marked a new milestone in her life amid the ongoing pandemic.

“It’s a milestone and especially now it’s a pandemic. So every birthday is a blessing,” Aivee told Gretchen.
