Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach shared her two cents about community pantries via social media.

One netizen asked the beauty queen about her thoughts on community pantries in the country and Pia remarked that she thinks it is a good initiative.

"I took some time to really think about it and really understand better what we are faced with as a nation. For me, the community pantry is a really good initiative. Yet again, it is proof of the undying spirit of Bayanihan. However, I also understand all the hesitations and concerns especially with health protocols," she said.

She added that with the pandemic affecting many lives, it is a call for us to help each other.

"It's been a year since the pandemic hit and everyone is just trying their best to survive. I think it's a call for us to help in any and every way that we can. Share what we can, stay home if we can. Get vaccinated as soon as we get the opportunity," she said.

She added that the community pantry is a reminder of what can be achieved if we work hand in hand.

"It's a great reminder of what we can achieve together. We can and we should demand a better system."
