Ji Chang-wook to mark return with upcoming Netflix series

The popular webtoon series Annarasumanara is getting a live adaptation — and South Korean actor Ji Chang-wook is taking on the lead role of the upcoming Netflix series.

Titled The Sound of Magic, the live adaptation of the series is likewise set to follow the story of a girl who had to grow up fast named Yoon Ah-yi (played by Choi Sung-eun) and a grown-up magician who wants to remain as a kid named Rieul (Ji Chang-wook). 

Other stars of the show include Hwang In-youp who will play the role of Yoon Ah-yi’s classmate Na Il-deung. He is an intelligent student but does not know how to engage himself with others. But as Na Il-deung gets introduced to the world of magic Yoon Ah-yi and Rieul will eventually transform.

Ji Chang Wook’s PH fan meet postponed

Kim Sung-youn — who directed the acclaim series Itaewon Class — is taking on the helm of the upcoming series. He is set to reunite with Love in the Moonlight writer Kim Min-jeong who will serve as the show’s screenwriter.
