After launching the Vice Ganda Network last July, Vice Ganda shared he is thankful to have found another platform through his YouTube channel which just recently hit 5 million subscribers.

“I was just super happy the moment it became five million. Kahit nung two million, three million, yung pag may milestone siya na ganun ang saya saya pero it was a bigger celebration kasi lagi siyang nangyayari pag may mahalagang date katulad nitong nag-five million siya nung birthday ko so double celebration. Or kung gaano pa kalawak ko na-se-serve yung purpose ko,” he said during the Kabog Pasabog with Saridon media launch held last April 12.

Vice said that his venturing into vlogging was due to ABS-CBN’s closure last year. “Kasi the moment ABS-CBN lost its franchise, wala na kaming platform and I was told by the management that it is your obligation to reach out to your audience whatever happens. So since walang TV anong paraan? So the only way na patok nung panahon na yun is yung mga online shows. So kailangan mo siyang pasukin so pinasok ko yung YouTube.

Despite the challenges of his home network, the new Saridon endorser said he will keep on producing content for his loyal followers.

Kasi this pandemic cannot stop me from serving my purpose. Aside from that, I don’t want to be a hypocrite, mas maraming subscriptions, mas kikita yung channel ko di ba?

Knowing how lucky he still is compared to the majority of the population in the country, Vice said he knows his purpose as an entertainer even during times like these.

“Some people are trying to survive, some people are surviving, and some people are thriving after they survive. So nandudun tayo sa ganung stage so maraming, maraming salamat sa mga subscribers ko dahil hinahayaan niyo akong patawanin pa rin kayo, aliwin kayo sa ganitong panahon, at the same time nagkakaroon rin ako ng extrang hanapbuhay. Kaya give and take, hindi naman puro give lang ng give or take lang ng take. Kumbaga palitan tayo ng magandang nabibigay sa isa’t isa,” he said.
