Angelica Jones Alarva tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, the actress and politician confirmed in a Facebook post.
Angelica — who is best known for her stint in the now-defunct noontime show Magandang Tanghali Bayan as well as the teleserye Basta’t Kasama Kita and the film Mr. Suave — sought prayers from her supporters.
According to Angelica, she continues to battle the disease together with two of her family members, which also includes her mom.
“Me, my mom, and Angelo are positive of COVID-19,” she wrote in her Facebook post. She added: “Humihingi kami po ng inyong patuloy na dasal malampasan namin itong pagsubok.”
Angelica went on to share that her mom, who also has pneumonia — is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
“Please pray for my mom Beth Jones. Nasa ICU po siya. She has pneumonia and COVID-19. Please, [we] really need your prayers,” she stated.
Meanwhile, Angelica said she is currently experiencing pneumonia and asthma while battling with COVID-19.
“I had asthma, pneumonia, and COVID. Nanalig ako sa Panginoon po di niya kami pababayaan,” she said.
