After starring in the dark fairy tale Maleficent, Angelina Jolie returns to the thriller genre with Those Who Wish Me Dead, based on the book by Michael Koryta who also co-wrote the screenplay. The movie is about a 12-year-old boy named Connor Casserly who witnesses the murder of his father. Fearing for his life, he escapes into a nearby national forest reserve while the assassins run after him, intent on silencing him.Connor soon runs into Hannah Faber, a smokejumper who offers him shelter in her lookout tower. Hannah is still affected by the deaths of three people she failed to save when she must protect Connor from the ruthless killers who set the forest ablaze to cover their tracks.
