With the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League’s 2019-2020 season postponed last year, Gerald Anderson said it would make him so happy to have the regular games resume again soon once it is safe for everyone.

Sobrang exciting. Sobra. Tatapusin pa yung finals right? And I heard sa June daw ibabalik yun and sa MBPL napakahaba ng season. Excited ako. Sana tuloy tuloy talaga bumalik na because I’ve been preparing also for that since last year pa after nung last season. Such a disappointing season. Pagod na akong matalo (laughs). Abangan natin,” he shared during the Rogin-E #StaminaForMen PR launch event held last March 5.

Having partly fulfilled his childhood dream of being able to play in a professional league (MBPL is semi-professional), Gerald said he is happy to be pursuing his number one love especially since he is turning a year older on March 7.

Kaya pa,” he said.

Aside from having a busy showbiz career and owning multiple businesses like a gym and a private resort, Gerald said he still has other goals he wants to achieve soon.

Kasi siyempre buhay niya yung nakataya diyan. So parang ganun din yung perspective ko dito. Kailangan ko muna may mga ibang roles at projects na gusto ko pa gawin, gusto ko muna mas maging successful at i-establish yung mga business ventures ko, and then the next step is yung magkaroon ako ng mga maliliit na katulad ko at pamilya. So darating naman yun. Hindi ko alam, baka dahil birthday ko sa Sunday kaya medyo nagmamadali na rin yung mga tao na magkaroon ako ng pamilya but darating tayo diyan,” he said.

While doing lockdown, Gerald said he has gotten the opportunity to discover other new interests and to pursue new passions.

So mas nag-prioritize ako sa business, ganyan, kung ano pa yung kailangan matutunan,” he added.
