After returning to work and doing a Valentine’s concert with Jed Madela last month, singer Juris Fernandez admitted she still experiences stage fright. “When you get on stage and you perform and the singing itself which you enjoy doing, nawawala naman yung pakiramdam na yun. A few minutes before the show ako definitely ganun may nararamdaman,” she said.
Unlike her fellow singers Jed Madela, Moira dela Torre, Erik Santos, and Christian Bautista, all who have done stints as judges of various singing competitions, Juris said she does not feel like she will go down the same route.
“Ay hindi ko alam. I cannot really say because I haven’t tried it. Pero feeling ko parang ang hirap. I don’t know actually how to express my opinions with other singers also but I guess it’s a good thing na ma-se-share mo din yung makakatulong ka to improve someone. May mga invitation ako dati but I think natataon nung mga panahon na yun ang liliit pa ng mga anak ko (laughs) or I was pregnant I think at that time. Parang hindi ako makapag-commit , ganyan. Pero kung titingnan ko, pag napapanuod ko sila Jed, parang ang hirap siguro ng pakiramdam na yun na you tell someone your opinion about how they sing kasi kapwa kayong singers eh, parang ganun,” she explained.
When asked about her thoughts regarding the new vaccines, Juris said she and her family still want to be on the safe side.
“May kapraningan pa rin talaga ako. For me okay yung mas praning ka kasi especially dito may mga kids din and yung mga magulang ko they’re senior citizens. So hindi naman tama kung sabihin ko na huwag kayo labas ng labas at mag-ingat kayo kung ako ang dami kong labas, ganun di ba? I want to show them also that we’re doing it for our kids also. Kung meron mang kailangang labas, kailangan because of work kasi kailangan naman talagang ituloy. So lahat ng mga kailangan gawin, lahat ng spray meron ka, social distancing hangga’t maaari. Praning ako. Hindi pa kami nakapag-mall,” she said.
