After giving a tell all interview with Boy Abunda last March 5 where he confirmed that he was in a relationship with Julia Barretto, Gerald Anderson is now becoming more open about talking about details of his personal life. The 31-year-old actor also admitted he has been thinking of starting his own family already as he was revealed as the new celebrity endorser of Rogin-E #StaminaForMen PR launch event held last March 5.
“Siyempre naman. Dun din yung punta natin and that’s also been kumbaga extra motivation rin sa akin. Lalo na during the pandemic na parang ang daming puwedeng mangyari. Di ba hindi naman natin na-expect ito. So kailangan solid tayo. So maraming lessons and isa sa pinaka lesson na natutunan ko is to keep things simple. You can have a great life kahit simple lang yung buhay mo. So darating tayo diyan,” he said.
Without naming his girlfriend, Gerald said he may have already found the one he wants to build a life with. “I think malapit na dun. You know there’s always a right time para sa lahat ng yan. Gusto ko na magka-pamilya. Is it the right time? I don’t think so. I think marami pa akong kailangan matutunan. Ang dami kong natutunan during the pandemic, mga lessons na tinuro sa ating lahat. So I’m just taking my time and we’ll see. Malalaman niyo rin yan,” he said.
Having had to deal with bashers ever since they were first rumored to be going out in 2019, Gerald said he has learned how to not take it all to heart.
So pag ganun yung iniisip mo, mababawasan eh. Nagagalit dahil sa love life ko, dahil hindi nag-work yung relationship ko, kailangan may perspective ka,” he explained.
More than getting angry at those who keep posting negativity about his current relationship, Gerald said he was more shocked by the maliciousness of the comments more than anything else.
“Dati, to be honest (I’d get affected), pero hindi pikon. So you have to move on and just not take anything personally,” he said.
Gerald said at this point in his life, he is happy to be able to move forward with the truth and just be happy instead of always trying to please the public. I’m just trying to live life and provide for my family, enjoy life. So pag may perspective ka, malalagpasan mo naman but things also happen sa buhay mo for a reason and you have to kumbaga realize kung ano yun, san ka rin nagkamali and move on, move forward with your life,” he added.
