Maymay Entrata treated her fans on Wednesday, March 3, with a dance cover of Korean pop star Hwasa's hit song "Maria."

The cover premiered on her YouTube channel and already has nearly 100,000 views as of writing.

On her Instagram page, Maymay said she chose "Maria" for her first dance cover as her way of showing gratitude to her idol Hwasa for inspiring her to be confident through her song.

"I chose this song to be my first dance cover coz I wanna lay down my gratefulness to the singer. Thank you Hwasa/ Ahn Hye-jin for your music. Your 'Maria' song inspired us to be confident, do things in our own way and not letting other people take our light. It also empowered women to not mind others’ opinions on one’s beauty and being proud for who we are," she wrote.

"For me, accepting yourself is the truest definition of beauty. Flaws and imperfections make oneself’s perfect," she added.

Maymay, 23, recently renewed her contract with ABS-CBN, her home network since she joined showbiz after winning "Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7" back in 2016.

“‘Di naman ako nag-eexpect na isa ako sa mabibigyan ng biyaya sa panahong ito. Masarap lang sa feeling na and'yan ‘yung tahanan mo na ipaparamdam sa 'yo na secured ka, na gagabayan ka nila kahit anong mangyari,” said Maymay, who will be celebrating her fifth anniversary in showbiz soon, at the time.

“Kaya masaya ako na parte pa din ako sa pagharap ng mga pagsubok at very excited ako na tayo'y babangon muli. Para ito sa mga Kapamilya natin,” she added.

Apart from being seen every Sunday on "ASAP Natin ‘To" and "iWant ASAP" online, Maymay said she is busy working on creating more content for her YouTube channel. She also shared a confident message to all her loyal fans for 2021: “Do not expect nothing because I will surprise you with what I can do for this year."
