Broadway star Lea Salonga condemned the rising anti-Asian violence in the US anew after an Asian American woman was assaulted in New York City.On her Twitter page, Lea shared a clip from a surveillance footage of a 65-year-old Asian American woman being physically and verbally attacked by a man while she was on her way to church in the morning. Reacting to the said clip, Lea tweeted, "Meanwhile... this is still happening. And this is a stone’s throw away from Broadway theaters. My mom would walk to church on her own, feeling totally safe in this city, and I never had to worry about her.
