After the Philippines recorded more than 10,000 daily cases of COVID-19 infections, Sharon Cuneta appealed to netizens to observe health protocols and to stay at home.

She added, "Wear a mask. Keep social distancing. Huwag na lumabas kundi kailangan. Wash your hands. Use alcohol and sanitizer. Keep safe. May God have mercy on us all."

A netizen then commented on Sharon's Instagram post saying that ordinary citizens should take care of themselves because only the rich people can avail of proper healthcare.

‘Start of something all new’: Sharon Cuneta teases new project

The netizen wrote, "Keep safe guys. The only person who will help you and your family will be you. No one else. They can go to the hospital anytime. May pera e! I will continue praying for all Filipino people."

The Megastar then refuted the netizen's claim saying that even rich people nowadays can no longer easily avail of healthcare.

"That is no longer true. Walang sinasanto ang COVID," she said.
