Enjoying all the positive feedback regarding her role as a homeless woman named Barang in the new Kapamilya series Huwag Kang Mangamba, Sylvia Sanchez revealed she has always wanted to play the role of some with complicated mental capabilities.

Over the years I want to take this chance to thank you for considering me sa inyong mga projects. Masarap siya i-portray, masarap siyang i-embrace, at masarap siyang paglaruan,” she said.

Although she has acted many different roles and complex characters in the past, Sylvia said Barang is in a totally different category.

First time ito at sa isang teleserye pa. Kailangan focused dito,” she explained.

The 49-year old veteran actress, who has been in showbiz for more than two decades already, admitted that lock-in tapings make it easier for her to get into her role.

Every day nag-te-taping. Unlike yung dating ginagawa namin na let’s say Monday, Wednesday, Friday yung taping namin. Mas mahirap yun. So, mas okay ito. tamang tama kay Barang yung ganitong set up ng taping,” she added.
