Janine Gutierrez took to social media to express her dismay amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country.

On her Twitter page, Janine wrote, "Napaka-walang malasakit naman. Isang taon nang nagtitiis ang mga Pilipino. Imbis na magbigay ng solusyon, ang maipapayo mo ay mag-tiis pa rin at wag magreklamo? Hanggang kelan?"

She added, "Masunurin at maintindihin ang Pinoy, kung meron lang sanang matinong maaasahan.

One netizen then reacted to her post saying, "Hindi lang Pilipino ang nahihirapan at [nagtitiis] buong mundo po."

In response, Janine told the netizen, "Masaya ako para sa ‘yo na kaya mong magtiis. Pero marami tayong kababayan na ikamamatay ang pagtitiis. Ang ‘reklamo’ kong ito, para sa kanila."

Liza Soberano also recently voiced out her concern for the lack of support for the poor in the Philippines amid the surges in COVID-19 infections in the country.

"My heart bleeds for all the people who cannot afford not to go out and work. They literally have to choose between dying of starvation or dying of covid," Liza said in a Twitter post.

"America has received 2 rounds of stimulus already, waiting on the 3rd. Covid testing is free, vaccination is free. Where is the support for the poor in our country?" she added.

One netizen then replied to Liza's tweet saying, "You're comparing our ‘poor’ country to the first world country? lmao. Yes Liza, our country is too poor to feed every Filipino’s mouth. So, don't expect that much. I still do appreciate your compassion tho."

In response to the netizen, Liza said, "So what do we do? Just sit back and wait for a miracle to happen? Pray that covid just disappears. I believe God works wonders but I believe that he gives us the instruments to make that happen. Sad thing is the instruments/decision making are not in our hands."

On Monday, March 22, the Department of Health recorded an all-time high daily COVID-19 infection in the country at 8,019 cases.
