After officially joining the Kapamilya network this year, Janine Gutierrez said she has high hopes when it comes to her career this year despite the ongoing pandemic. The 31-year-old actress said she has always been conscious of having a skin care routine even if she wasn’t in showbiz.
“I was always conscious about my skin. Because being in the industry we are always in front of people and in front of the camera. And ako personally I’m such a beach girl that I’m always under the sun and I know that a lot of Filipinas are the same. Whether you are on vacation or commuting to work, talagang you’re going to expose yourself to the harmful elements of the Philippines and our daily lifestyle. Skin care has always been a priority for me because even if you put makeup, it always matters that your face is smooth and your skin is healthy and you feel confident within yourself,” she shared with PUSH during the Bio-Science Philippines Bio-Water Vitamin B5 Gel launch held at SM Aura earlier this month.
The Bio-Science Philippines celebrity endorser also revealed what she was able to discover while doing home quarantine.
“During the pandemic, it was kind of my discovery period for skin care (laughs). That’s why I’m saying I tried a lot of skin care but Bio-Science is really the one that worked for me. Parang there are these little moments within the day that kind of serve as your therapy and one of those is my skin care routine. So when I take care of myself, it also helps me stay calm, stay relaxed, stay motivated and focused and able to do the things I want. So parang that’s also like one of the ways I stay beautiful inside and out,” she explained.
After a decade of being in showbiz, the eldest daughter of actors Ramon Christopher and Lotlot de Leon said that she does not let the expectations of being a celebrity pressure her to always look picture perfect.
“Parang through the years I’ve learned that it’s always best to go natural. Parang yung hashtag ng Bio-Science is to always go natural and that’s also been my motto these past few years na just be yourself. You don’t have to be perfect.
