“I started dieting in January of 2016 but now lang talaga napansin yung loss of weight ko,” pagtatapat niya. “Kasi on and off ako sa dieting.
Aniya, “They message me and tell me I inspire them. I’m already 55 and I’m happy that I can inspire other women to be healthy. I’m just glad to feel healthier now, so I can see my grandchildren, and I can run with them.
“And it’s also for health reason and then bonus na yung you look better on screen. Gusto ko ring maging proud sa akin ang mga Sharonians ko when they watch me naman at excited sila. At saka kung gusto mong maging leading lady you have to look like a leading lady.
“Gusto ko ring gumawa pa ng mga pelikulang… like si Meryll Streep because she did It’s Complicated, na puwede pa rin ako sa ganun.
“That love stories are not exclusive to teenagers and people in their 20s, so I want people in their 40s, 50s, 60s to be inspired that they can be healthy pa and not to lose hope kung sila’y overweight lalo na if they have the health issues because the older you get the more prone you are to getting diseases. So yon ang iniiwasan ko.
“I’d like to inspire, it’s my operative word. It’s my driving force, that’s the word that really makes me want to continue working. I like inspiring people in one way or another,” dire-diretsong paliwanag ni Sharon.
“My Viva movies that inspired so many people, it’s amazing that I’m not even that person in that movie but since I portrayed the character and their lives were touched by it in one way or another, and they became better persons because of certain movies I did, that makes my heart so full.
“So, it’s the same, I’m grateful that they’re noticing and that I’m getting healthier, I feel healthier and it opens me up no to more roles, I think,” pagtatapos ni Sharon.
