Even though he has to say goodbye to their drama series Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin in less than two weeks, Grae Fernandez said he has a lot of unforgettable moments from their lock-in tapings since last year.

“Yung spending time with my co-actors. Day one pa lang parang lahat talaga sila, they made me feel welcome. They made me feel like one of them. Kasi every time na mag-pa-pack up kami sabay sabay kami mag-di-dinner and every night talaga may gatherings talaga kami. So yung pagkakataon just to spend time with them hindi lang sa trabaho kundi just off camera yun ang hindi ko makakalimutan at hindi ko pagsasawaan. Yung work na nakakasama ko talaga yung mga artista, staff, at director at first time ko ma-experience na lahat kami nasa isang bubble lang, sobrang naging close kami. So yung experience na yun sobrang natuwa ako,” he said.

Their shooting bubble also allowed Grae to spend more time with love team partner Kira Balinger. “Naging friends talaga kami dito and naging ka-close ko siya. Ang dami naming natutunan dito sa show na ito at saka we just worked so well together on and off camera. Nagpapasalamat ako kay Kira for being a good partner in crime kumbaga. Every scene is such a fun scene kapag kasama si Kira kasi nakakapag usap kami tungkol sa eksena and wala kaming contention sa isa’t isa kaya sobrang sobrang smooth lang ng pagtrabaho namin,” he said.

When asked if he found his onscreen partner good enough to be girlfriend material, Grae made it clear he wants to keep things strictly professional between them for now.

“Kasi si Kira as in todo partners talaga kami in crime dito sa show na ‘to and tuwang tuwa talaga ako na siya yung naging ka-love team ko dito. We’ll see what the future holds. Si Kira parang ako na she loves the work talaga, the journey of the work, yung mismong proseso ng pag-arte. So siguro sa aming dalawa kasi, nakikita ko na sobrang dedicated niya sa ginagawa niya which I love,” he explained.

Despite the onscreen chemistry that they show whenever their characters Jake and Hope are together onscreen, Grae said it’s all about effective acting for him and Kira.

“In terms of acting, parang for me kasi talaga what we try as actors, when in the scene or moment, pag may sinasabi akong I love you kailangan totoong totoo, in the moment of the scene, parang ganun. Naging friends talaga kami dito and naging ka-close ko siya. Ang dami naming natutunan dito sa show na ito at saka we just worked so well together on and off camera. Nagpapasalamat ako kay Kira for being a good partner in crime kumbaga. Every scene is such a fun scene kapag kasama si Kira kasi nakakapag usap kami tungkol sa eksena and wala kaming contention sa isa’t isa kaya sobrang sobrang smooth lang ng pagtrabaho namin,” he explained.
