Rupert Grint, who played the role of Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies, admitted that he did not watch all of the films in the hit franchise.
In an interview with Variety, Rupert shared, “I’ve probably seen the first three at the premieres, but after that I stopped watching them."
Now that he has a daughter, he said that he might be able to finally watch all of the films.
“But now that I have a daughter, I will probably have to watch them with her," he stated.
Rupert's girlfriend, actress Georgia Groome, gave birth to their daughter in May last year.
With the news that HBO Max is reportedly working on a Harry Potter series, Rupert said that he does not foresee being part of it.
“It’ll be weird if it was a continuation kind of thing. I weirdly feel quite protective of that character. Even when I saw the stage shows, it was a very strange experience," he told Variety.
He added, "If it’s like a different group of friends, I guess it would be interesting.”
Rupert headlined all of the Harry Potter films alongside Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger).
The last film titled Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was released in July 2011 and became one of the 50 highest-grossing films of all time.
