After she found out that the Darna movie project she was starring in would be postponed indefinitely last year, Jane de Leon admitted she did not take the news as hard as everyone thought she would.

“Nung nag-Zoom meeting kami nila Inang (Olivia Lamasan), nila Ma’am Charo (Santos-Concio), tita Cory (Vidanes), and tita Malou (Santos), and parang nasabi ko may nararamdaman ako dito ah.

The 22-year-old actress who recently joined the cast of Coco Martin’s top rated teleserye aid she was still grateful to hear the announcement last January that Darna will now become a TV series.

“I’m really happy at least natuloy.

When director Jerrold Tarog announced his departure from the project last month, Jane admitted she was upset to find out they wouldn’t be working together anymore.

I cried talaga and I really do understand kasi di ba dapat May na yung showing ng movie ng Darna, if ever May 21. Pero kasi ngayon meron ng nakalaan na proyekto after Darna and ito yung oras na yun for him to do that movie. He’s like my brother. I can share everything sa kanya, mapa personal na buhay yan, trabaho, and sobrang thankful ako kay Lord na nakilala ko si direk Jerrold. Napakabait na director,” she said.
