Jodi Sta. Maria went on a trip down memory lane as she revisited her days on the hit ABS-CBN coming-of-age drama Tabing Ilog by going to Pagsanjan, Laguna.
“After soooo many years, binalikan ko ang isa sa mga memorable places in my life. Ito ang naging ‘destination’ for four years at dito nagsimula ang lahat. Sobrang nostalgic dahil parang kahapon lang ay nagsho-shoot pa kami but now, we are all grown ups,” she wrote.
Jodi, who traveled to and from Pagsanjan for four years while shooting Tabing Ilog, admitted that Laguna is one of the places that remain close to her heart.
“So ngayon, papunta ako sa isang probinsya na malapit na malapit sa puso ko. ‘Cause I remember, when I was starting back in 1997-1998, ‘yung pinakaunang show na ginawa ko with ABS-CBN ay dito namin shinoot for four years,” she said.
Admitting she didn’t know what to expect once she set foot on their old set, Jodi said she couldn’t help but wonder about the things that changed around the place.
She stated: “Na-eexcite ako kasi it’s been more than 15 years since ‘yung huli akong nakatapak sa Pagsanjan, Laguna and ngayon, hindi ko alam kung ano ang i-eexpect ko. Pareho pa rin ba ‘yung lugar? Pareho pa rin ba ‘yung mga bahay na pinag-shoot namin or nagbago na?”
As soon as she arrived in the famous Mabini and Cosme Sts., Jodi visited the houses of her character George, Gerry (Mylene Dizon), and Rovic (John Lloyd Cruz).
Of course, Jodi didn’t miss out on visiting the popular dock where her character and the rest of the Tabing Ilog gang would hang out.
The Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin star also went on a side trip, visiting famous tourist attractions in Pagsanjan including the Pagsanjan Arch (Arco Real) and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Church.
