After its debut in 2018, girl group MNL48 has seen many new and old members and this year is no different as they recently launched their Third-Generation members Kath, Klaryle, Jana, Rianna, and Lyza through a virtual presscon held earlier this month. The Pinay members ages range from 16 to 20 years old.
MNL48 member Kath said she was thankful to finally make it into the group after revealing that she had auditioned for its previous generations.
Now that they are the newest members of the country’s pioneering P-pop group, MNL48 member Lyza said she can’t wait to start training with her fellow group members.
“Super excited din ako lalo na sa mga trainings namin kasi dun magsisimula lahat eh, yung bonding, dun mas nagiging strong yung group and I know na pag na-start na yung training namin, mas madadagdagan pa yung mga kaya namin gawin, mas ma-e-enhance yung mga skills namin and by that way mas makikilala ko sila. Excited na rin ako ipakita sa kanila yung mga kaya ko pang i-contribute sa group and i-share gaya ng sa skills ko or kung ano man yung kailangan nila.
“And excited na rin ako mag-inspire ng mga tao lalo na sa mga dancers or singers or performers na gusto talgaang i-pursue yung passion nila, na huwag lang titigil kasi hindi po palagi tayong panalo. Mag-fe-fail at mag-fe-fail tayo sa kahot anong gagawin natin pero pag hindi tayo nag-stop lumaban or kumapit, darating yung tamang time para sa ating lahat na ma-ri-reach natin yung goals natin and ma-a-achieve natin yung gusto natin gawin.
“Looking forward ako na ma-meet lahat and gusto ko rin ipakita sa fans na hindi sayang yung vote nila and gusto ko rin ipakita na deserving ako makapasok bilang member kasi sobrang laking opportunity talaga na makapasok as a member kasi iba talaga pag MNL48.”
As the youngest member of the group at 16 years old, Rianna said she can’t wait to show her talents through MNL48.
“I’m really looking forward to the experience I will have here in MNL48 and I know the group really struggled even in the very beginning and I think na being a member now is such an advantage and an honor so ang ni-lu-look forward ko is the fact na mapakita ko that I can also be an inspiration to other people, I can also help them believe in themselves and life is really difficult for everyone so being a member is going to be a struggle for me. But I’m sure that I want to be appreciated for who I am and I’m really looking forward to my journey here.
“I also want the fans to know that they shouldn’t be underestimated. They have what it takes. Everything will really start from paghihirap. Everything will be worth it if you really work for it. Everything will really start from the bottom and there’s no shortcuts in life and I think all of the fans should also believe in themselves and that’s what I want them to know in my future journey in MNL48,” she explained.
Just like her fellow third generation batchmates, MNL48 member Klaryle is excited for their projects this year. “I’m looking forward to grow here in MNL48 and to get along with my senpais, to perform, and do projects with MNL48,” she said.
Aside from performing together, MNL48 member Jana also hopes they get more chances to inspire their followers with their future projects. “I’m looking forward ako sa trainings and ma-meet yung mga senpai namin para mabigyan kami ng advice as well as makapag-inspire din ng mga people na it’s never too late to reach your dreams kahit ano pa ang mangyari basta you believe you can do anything na gusto mo gawin,” she added.
