Singer Angeline Quinto took to social media on Saturday, February 20, to mark her 10th anniversary in show business.

In an Instagram post, Angeline said she made the right decision when she joined the ABS-CBN singing search Star Power: Sharon’s Search for Next Female Pop Star, which would later launch her showbiz career as its grand winner.

"Ten years after.... Napatunayan kong 'you really get what you work for and not what you wish for' dahil I made the right decision nang pumila ako sa audition para ipaglaban ang pangarap kong maging grand champion ng Star Power," she said.

She also thanked those who continue to support her during her guest appearance on Magandang Buhay on Monday, February 22.

Asked what she considers as the highlight of her career, the 31-year-old hitmaker said: "'Yung nabigyan ko po ng pagkakataon na maisama ang mama ko sa mga shows abroad.

According to Angeline, another thing she's grateful for was being part of the country's longest running musical variety show ASAP.

After niyang manood ng misa, 'ASAP.' So 'yun ang talagang naging routine ng mama ko simula noong naging regular ako," she said.

It was last November when Mama Bob, the adoptive mother of Angeline, passed away.

Mama Bob, whose real name is Sylvia Quinto, suffered a stroke last September and had been hospitalized until her passing. She was 77 at the time of her death.
