Julia Montes appeared in the latest vlog of Dimples Romana, talking about her days growing up in Pandacan.

In the said vlog, Dimples and Julia had their conversation over street food prepared by themselves as it has always been the comfort food of the latter.

According to Dimples, Julia has remained a humble person despite achieving success in life.

“I could attest to that — na si Juls ang pinaka hindi pabebe sa lahat. Kasi nga, parang siya ‘yung if I’m not mistaken, next to Gel [Angel Locsin], cowboy na hindi ako mag-aalala kung kunwari wala kaming pormal na pagsstayan or upuan o sasalampa ka agad whether sa grass pa ‘yun or sa kalye,” Dimples stated.

“Ikaw talaga ang naalala ko kasi sobrang grounded mo as a person. Parang even when you were already doing so well,” she said.

But since Julia was the breadwinner of her family, she didn’t get to have much fun like her peers.

“Siguro ever since seryoso talaga ako. Pero before, open kasi talaga si Lola. Open talaga siya sa akin before na sinasabi niya na ‘Huy, ‘pag di mo ‘to ginawa, ‘wala tayong pang-ano. Pambayad natin ‘to sa ano so kailangan gawin mo ‘to,” Julia said.

According to Julia, she has always been fond of perfume. In fact, she has been buying perfume sold right across their house in Pandacan, Manila back when she was younger.

“Pabango. Tinatawid ko ‘yun,” Julia said.

“Tapos may binebenta sila. Young’s ‘yung tawag. Alam ko lumang brand na ‘to. ‘Yung Lola natin alam yata ‘to. Young’s na pabango. Tapos amoy baby powder siya. ‘Yun ‘yung pabango ko. Tapos tinitipid ko ‘yung maliit na ‘yun. 20 pesos. Tapos may mga color. Yellow color ‘yung binibili ko,” she stated.

While she wasn’t always able to buy what she wanted for herself when she was younger, Julia said she made sure to buy them when she started earning money.

Tour ‘yun. I think para siyang department store na mura. Ros yata. ‘Yun ang pinakauna kong hinoard. Isa o tatlong pabango.
