Last February 1, singer Lani Misalucha went to Raffy Tulfo’s Wanted sa Radyo online show to file a complaint about her former booking agent Meynard Oliver Vergara. Vergara had offered to manage her Lyka and Bigo app accounts and then stole all the online currency she had earned from those same accounts from up until October last year.
He has to pull out yung mga gems para ma-encash niya.
The singer known as “Asia’s Nightingale” also revealed that she and her husband Noli were planning to use the virtual currency to help pay for their hospital bills last year. “Na-ospital kami ng husband ko for bacterial meningitis. Nasa ospital kami nun, I think it was about October 18 na tinawagan niya ako sa ospital. So sabi ko okay,” she recalled.
Lani shared that the incident happened in October last year and she immediately talked to the heads of her fan groups to attempt to contact the agent but to no avail. The popular singer revealed that she was not able to use any of the more than 100,000 Lyka gems that were in her account at that time.
So sini-sweet talk ako.”
At present, Lani shared that Meynard had already blocked her from all his online profiles and was not responding to any communication already despite his previous promises to remit the money to her. The 51-year-old singer admitted it was her weakness to trust him so easily.
Host Raffy Tulfo ended his interview with Lani promising to help aid her in filing a legal case against Meynard and also offered P105,000 monetary help for her medical expenses.
