"Hindi kami magkaaway, hindi lang kami friends."
These were the words of Bea Alonzo when asked to describe her working relationship with John Lloyd Cruz at the beginning.
In an interview with PEP, the actress shared that they actually didn't like each other that time and they did not interact on set.
Mahirap pa ako makatrabaho kasi ang bata ko nun,” she stated.
Bea relayed that since she was a newbie back then, she was usually the cause of retakes when they were doing their scenes together.
"Biruin mo, never ako nakalimot ng lines. So I had to do it again," she stated.
At the same time, Bea admitted that she found the actor arrogant at that start.
Nonetheless, Bea said that she is thankful to the actor because it pushed her to be the best at what she was doing.
“He helped me so much nung time na sinusungitan niya ako, hindi kami nag-uusap, hindi kami nagha-hi, hindi kami nagba-bye. I had to prove myself that I am worthy. So actually, he pushed me, without him even knowing about it,” she remarked.
Bea and John Lloyd first teamed up on the ABS-CBN series Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay which aired from July 2002 to November 2003.
