Reuniting with Jed Madela for their free pre-Valentine concert Hearts On Fire: Juris and Jed on February 13, Saturday, singer Juris Fernandez said she has always admired his vocal range.

Pababa or pataas kayang kaya niya. Parang anywhere kaya niya,” she explained.

Unlike her previous concerts, Juris said Hearts On Fire: Juris and Jed will be a musical journey of love.

“Maybe people are expecting na parang love yung all the topics in the concert. But it’s more of how you get there, how you get to that point where the right one for you. So yung experiences na yun, yun yung tututukan natin. Yun lang. So mag-iiyakan na lang tayo (laughs). Pawasak ng puso. Hopefully sa mga awiting maririnig nila, hindi dahil malungkot yung mga kanta, we will also share sa mga kuwento ng mga kanta, na there is always hope pagdating sa pag-ibig,” she said.

The talented singer also said that she believes Pinoys are all romantic at heart. Well it’s kind of true. Yung puso talaga ng mga Pinoy very sympathetic, empathic, talagang mapuso and pag nagmahal parang bigay na bigay lahat. Pag nasaktan ang laki rin ng nawala sa ‘yo so maybe that’s why when it comes to mga ganitong hugot, ramdam na ramdam mo talaga.

“Even if hindi ikaw yung nag-experience, the moment that friends or people tell you about their stories, nararamdaman mo yung naramdaman nila. I think yung mga kuwento talaga pagdating sa pag-ibig na nasasaktan, na-i-in love, unrequited love, everybody experienced it. For me wala naman atang nagbago sa pag-ibig.

Doing a concert during a pandemic is a new experience for Juris and she misses performing for live audiences. Siguro as bilang mga performers and entertainers, babalik ka rin sa root why you are doing this. It’s more of to entertain them talaga, yung mga na-mi-miss kang panuorin,” she added.
