Actress Jessy Mendiola revealed that she, too, has experienced being denied service while shopping at a luxury boutique abroad—not once, but twice.
Jessy, 28, recounted the two incidents in her latest vlog entry, where she unpacked her newly-bought tote bag from French fashion house Chanel.
According to the actress, the first time happened when she visited a Paris branch of Chanel to buy her dream Chanel bag.
"This happened mga three years ago or four years ago... I went in sa isang Chanel store, and I asked about the classic Chanel Flap. First time kong magkakaroon ng Chanel Flap, excited ako. So nung time na meron na akong chance makabili kasi nakapag-ipon na ako, I went to a Chanel store," she recalled.
"Pumasok ako tapos nagtanong ako sa isang sales associate if may mga available na mga classic Flap bags. Tiningnan niya 'ko from head to toe, tapos hindi niya ako pinansin. Bibili naman ako," she added.
The other incident took place just two years ago, as she was visiting a Chanel store in Taiwan to purchase a wallet and a pair of sunglasses.
"Second time was in Taiwan, recently, mga two years ago lang... Tapos dinaandaanan lang niya ako, wala namang tao nun," she said.
Jessy admitted that she was traumatized by the incidents, and ever since has preferred buying from resellers or personal shoppers as they are more accommodating.
"'The reason why I like buying from resellers or personal shoppers [is because] natatakot na ako pumunta sa boutique ng store," she said.
