After more than a year in Australia, It's Showtime host Anne Curtis and her family have returned to the Philippines.
Anne's husband Erwan Heussaff shared the news on his Instagram. He posted a video chronicling their trip back to the country.
"Melbourne to Manila and 6 days hotel quarantine done ✅ 8 days of Home Isolation to go," Erwan said.
Nico Bolzico, Erwan's brother-in-law, expressed his elation about their return.
"Welcome home! Finally u will try the @bolzicobeef Ube Empanadas," Nico commented on Erwan's post.
Likewise, Anne posted on Instagram a photo of her and Dahlia looking at the city view from a hotel window, with the caption, "Good morning Philippines!"
It's the first time that the couple's daughter got to finally see their home in the Philippines.
It can be recalled that Anne gave birth in Australia to Dahlia in March 2020.
In a previous interview with G3 San Diego, Anne shared that giving birth in Australia was not the initial plan.
“Actually, it was a last minute decision really. Kasi I’d already chosen a doctor and a hospital and then, parang last minute I decided na parang I was working so hard kasi. And parang hindi nila ako mapigilang mag-work. So I felt that one way that would really get me to stop working is to just kind of be here,” she stated.
She added that her mother Carmen was a big part of why she chose to stay in Australia after she gave birth.
“And major factor then kasi was being with my mom. Lalo na it’s my first baby and having her help me through it, ‘yun ‘yung naging parang du’n nalang ako para mas tahimik, mas quiet. I can really just focus on the first few weeks and months of my baby daughter’s life,” Anne said.
