After celebrating her 35th birthday with friends and loved ones last month in Subic, Angelica Panganiban shareD stories about her life in a vlog interview with Boy Abunda on The Boy Abunda Talk Channel vlog titled “Who Are You When No One Is Watching: Angelica Panganiban” which was uploaded last December 1. To start off the interview, the veteran host asked Angge about her growing up years as a child actress at six years old.

In the vlog, Angelica also looked back on the many notable roles she has played onscreen and revealed her memorable role in the 2010 film Here Comes The Bride was a project she almost ended up turning down.

Hinintay namin yung final answer mo.’ So okay go gagawin ko siya. Hindi ko pala kayang palampasin,” she explained.

A role that she admitted she regrets letting slip away was the 2013 Star Cinema film Four Sisters and a Wedding which starred Bea Alonzo, Toni Gonzaga, Angel Locsin, and Shaina Magdayao. Although she did not divulge which character she was offered to play, Angge said she should not have declined it right away. “Hanggang ngayon hindi ko siya pinapanuod. May mga hindi lang nagkasunduan dun sa mga agreement, ganyan so parang huwag na lang,” she recalled.

After starring in a teleserye that ended early this year, Angge said her plans to retire from doing soap operas still stand.

“Then nagbaka sakali yung ABS-CBN nung in-offer nila sa akin yung Walang Hanggang Paalam. Then nagkataon na pandemic, walang prangkisa, so parang, ‘Wow sino ako para tumanggi ng trabaho?’ And yung mga taong puwedeng kumita pag tinanggap ko itong project na ‘to. Sabi ko sige, challenge accepted. Game. Yung pagod, naka-lock-in, naka-bubble kayo for kalahating taon. So parang okay na, okay na talaga. Then siyempre nagka-love life. Tapos parang baka puwedeng i-enjoy ko muna ‘to,” she explained to Tito Boy in the vlog.

Nowadays, Angge said she is happy enjoying a regular life away from the limelight and spending time with her non-showbiz boyfriend Gregg Homan.

Angge said that she has movie projects lined up for the near future that she is excited to start working on. “May mga niluluto luto naman. Hopefully masimulan namin yung dream project nila Antoinette Jadaone and direk Dan Villegas. Sana matuloy na,” she revealed.
