Andi Eigenmann couldn’t be more thankful to Nadine Lustre for supporting an important cause for the environment.
It’s no secret that Nadine has found a new life in Siargao — a move probably no one saw coming, especially her fans.
But Nadine is also a staunch defender of the environment, supporting non-government organizations (NGOs) like Greenpeace.
And as she settles in Siargao, Nadine decided to become a volunteer for the Siargao Environmental Awareness Movement or simply known as SEA Movement.
In 2018, celebrities Bela Padilla and Maris Racal also volunteered for a coastal cleanup in Siargao courtesy of SEA.
Now, Nadine’s fellow actress and now Siargao resident Andi Eigenmann shared a photo of Nadine reading stories to young kids. Andi’s daughter, Ellie, is also part of the SEA patrol group.
“Ellie’s SEA patrol group had a special volunteer today!” Andi wrote in her post.
Andi went on to say that she’s happy to see an environmental advocate such as Nadine taking her time to support their cause.
“@nadine glad to have this island gain someone of great influence, taking her time to support and advocate for such an important cause!” Andi remarked.
Even when Nadine and her ex-boyfriend James Reid were still together, she has always been an active volunteer in various environmental causes.
“Growing up, I loved having a lot of plants around me. I love playing in the garden and going out. I’m very conscious about ‘yung mga kalat sa paligid and for some reason, it really bothers me. Lahat ng kalat ko noon pinupulot ko, nilalagay ko sa pocket,” Nadine said in an interview with Boy Abunda back in 2020.
She added: “‘Pag may nakikita akong wrapper I put it in the trash can. I think it’s a very big issue na sana this time alagaan naman natin ‘yung environment natin.”
