Even though it’s been two and a half decades since she last worked with her husband Janno Gibbs on a film, Bing Loyzaga said it was just a matter of waiting for the right project for them. The two finally become co-actors again with the latest Vivamax superhero film Mang Jose.

Siguro we were really just waiting for the right project and this came along. How can I pass this up if I am given the chance to work with Manilyn (Reynes) for the first time? Of course I will grab this opportunity di ba para makatrabaho naman siya,” she explained.

When she found out that Janno would be reunited with his original love team partner Marilyn Reynes (who plays the lead villain King Ina in Mang Jose), Bing shared how she welcomed the opportunity to bond with her fellow That’s Entertainment alumni even though they were rumored to be enemies in the past because of their relationship with Janno.

“Frankly when I found out that Janno was going to do Mang Jose and they told me they had Manilyn in mind already, na-excite ako for him and for their fans kasi ang tagal na nilang hindi nagsama sa screen. Tapos tinanong ko kay Janno, ‘Baka puwede naman akong sumali diyan?’ Ganun (laughs). Kasi nga I’ve never had the opportunity to work with Mane until this project. Ang proseso nun eh excitement at kilig na magkasama. So I’m very thrilled to be part of this, to revive the love team, to be part of the revival of the Janno-Manilyn love team. Nakakatuwa kasi lahat tayo lumaki tayo with that. Pampagulo ako dun (laughs). Nakakatuwa na we all grew up, moved on, and we will support each other. That’s what really gets me,” she explained.

Apart from having long moved on from any issues, Bing said she is happy to see netizens being excited and supportive of their throwback casting.

“Kung gaano katagal yung issue, na may issue pa ba kami? We never really had any issue with each other. Wala kaming conversation na away. So I think it got blown out of proportion. Nakakatuwa na meron kaming pagkakataon na ma-experience ang mga kasamahan naming katrabaho noon din. It’s an opportunity and a blessing that we all have work at this time and to be working with them also. Kung noon ang tingin ko sa sarili ko pampagulo sa love team nila, ngayon okay rin pala kasi magiging magkakaibigan rin pala kami in the end. Yun yung nakakatuwa. It’s nice to work with Mane, it’s nice to know na sila Lotlot (De Leon) nandiyan rin and I hope to work with them also. It’s nice to see na yung mga kasama namin before, makakasama pa rin namin ngayon. So I think everything is a blessing and everything is a good opportunity for everybody and everybody is happy especially the fans. Nakikita nilang nag-go-grow lahat, pati yung fans nag-go-grown din,” she shared.

After being married for more than 30 years, Bing shared what makes her husband such a likable person on and off screen.

“I think one of the traits Janno has that we both admire ni Mane would be of course his humor and he’s a good partner, that’s why the Janno-Manilyn love team also worked well. Magaling siya makipag-partner sa trabaho. Magaling siyang team player sa mga partnerships. So even sa marriage namin as a co-parent okay kami. So I think that’s one trait naman that I admire,” she added.
