Jake Ejercito and his daughter Ellie will get to have a father-daughter bonding session as they will be spending Christmas together this year.

Ellie, who was able to fly to Manila with her mom Andi Eigenmann, her mom’s partner Philmar Alipayo, and her half-siblings Lilo and Koa before Typhoon Odette devastated parts of Siargao, will be spending Christmas in Manila.

But the 10-year-old showbiz royalty, who has been spending most of her time with her mom in Siargao over the past couple of months, will be away from her for a few days.

This was confirmed by her father Jake who happily took to social media to share that he will be spending Christmas with his daughter. He shared a photo of him kissing Ellie on the cheek.

“Home for Xmas,” the Marry Me Marry You star simply wrote in his tweet.

Jake enjoys a co-parenting setup with Andi over Ellie, although he admitted in an interview with his fellow Kapamilya star Francine Diaz that it wasn’t easy at first.

“Hindi siya madali. And marami na rin kaming pinagdaanan bago kami dumating sa point na ‘to na we found the right balance. Madami kaming pinagdaanan na ups-and-downs na parang roller coaster,” he said.

“Siyempre, when we became parents, twenty-one lang kami pareho. Then siyempre ‘yung pride, ‘yung maturity. So it took a while. Years before kami dumating sa point na ‘to na inuuna na namin ‘yung welfare ni Ellie,” he added.
