After being part of the film Love or Money last year, veteran actress Pinky Amador returned to Star Cinema this year with the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Love At First Stream where she plays the role of Jeremiah Lisbo’s mother.

“Ang babait nila sa totoo lang. Si Miah kasi is the one playing my son here and napakabait na bata yan and he works very hard. Basta fully supportive lang kami kay Miah kasi may ginawa siyang parang gimik para mapalapit sa girl na nagugustuhan niya. Kaso hindi rin niya masyadong alam kung type din siya ni girlaloo. That’s all I can say,” she shared during the Love At First Stream mediacon.

Agot Isidro on working again with Cathy Garcia-Molina on ‘Love At First Stream’: ‘Na-cha-challenge pa rin ako sa kanya’

Working with a young cast led by Jeremiah Lisbo, Daniela Stranner, Kaori Oinuma, and Anthony Jennings for the film, Pinky shared her observations regarding the difference of starting out in showbiz during her generation and present day new artists.

“It’s not just that they’re many of them, I think the difference now sa panahon namin is that ngayon nandiyan na ang social media. So sa panahon namin you have the traditional media. Meron kang pelikula, meron kang TV, tapos meron kang entablado plus may live gigs ka. Ngayon nandiyan na ang social media. You have a YouTube channel, you have streaming on Kumu, you have TikTok tapos kung anu-ano pang  iba. And you have to be able to balance all of them. Kung saan ka malakas, saan ka mas bagay, saan ka may following. Hindi lang sa mas madaming trabaho, actually kailangan mas focused kasi nga sa dami nila, kailangan yung management skills mo. Ang hirap kung walang gumagabay sa ‘yo na marunong sa social media and mainstream and yung talagang face-to-face na pakikisama at mahusay na pagtrabaho. Madami silang kailangan gawin although at the same time mas madami din silang outlet na ipakita yung galing nila,” she explained.

Cathy Garcia-Molina almost declined directing ‘Love at First Stream’: ‘Ang hirap magsalita ng naka-mask”

The 55-year-old Love At First Stream actress also revealed how she feels when working with director Cathy Garcia-Molina on the set of their MMFF film.

“Imposibleng hindi mo mararamdaman yung passion. When direk Cathy directs a scene. you can really feel yung passion and commitment niya. And lalo na sa mga eksena namin with Miah, gusto niya na palabasin talaga yung pagmamahal namin sa isa’t isa. So nakakatuwa. I find it very refreshing,” she added.
