After being launched as part of the first batch of Rise Artists Studio talents, Daniela Stranner said she always feels grateful for every project given to her. As one of the lead stars of Star Cinema and Kumu’s Love At First Stream, Daniela knows just how lucky a position she is in.

I’m very happy and blessed to be working with everyone. Super grateful ako,” she said.

The 17-year-old actress said that even though it will be the first Metro Manila Film Festival experience for her and Love At First Stream co-stars Kaori Oinuma, Anthony Jennings, and Jeremiah Lisbo, she gets strength from her supportive friends in the cast.

Magkakapatid kami kasi nasa Rise Artists kami but also family din yung na-build namin sa set. More than excited,” she admitted.

When she first found out that her first movie would be handled by veteran director Cathy Garcia-Molina, the Fil-German actress shared her initial reaction.

“Sobrang takot ako kay direk kasi that’s direk Cathy eh. Tapos nung nabasa ko yung script bago kami mag-lock-in, sabi ko, ‘Oh my gosh, ako yung pag-iinitan ni direk dito. Baka ako yung ma-ja-jackpot dito’ sabi ko. Eh siyempre baguhan kami, hindi kami ganun kagaling or talagang artistant artista. Sabi ko, ‘Patay.’ Tapos pagpunta sa set, it’s not what I expected. Matulungin si direk Cathy. Siyempre nung una takot kami kasi direk Cathy and all. It’s something new. From the start hanggang huli hindi niya kami pinabayaan. She guided us. nandun siya the whole time. naging confident ako sa pag-arte at sa mga eksena kasi andiyan si direk Cathy na laging andiyan to guide us and to tell us if it’s wrong or not. So naging confident ako the whole shoot,” she recalled.

Star Cinema and Kumu’s film collaboration Love At First Stream will premiere on December 25, Saturday along with other  MMFF entries this year. Starring Daniela Stranner, Kaori Oinuma, Anthony Jennings, Jeremiah Lisbo, Agot Isidro, Pinky Amador. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
