Nadine Lustre once again wowed her fans with her live performance of her new single "Wait For Me."
The video of her performance was uploaded on the YouTube channel of Careless Music on Wednesday evening, December 1.
It was shot on the shore of Siargao Island, where the actress-singer now spends most of her time. In the comment section of the video, dozens of netizens praised the live performance, from the production to Nadine's vocals.
"Goosebumps pa din! Nadine [you] really have a very nice voice. Mas gumanda pa lalo yung live, mas ramdam na ramdam. Plus the location, superb!" one fan wrote.
It was in late October when Nadine dropped "Wait For Me", a slow, solemn pop track that touches on the bittersweetness that comes with moving on from a relationship.
It’s also described as a "heartfelt ballad wrapped in both melancholy and hope — an expression of gratitude and a lamentation of letting go."
Part of the song's lyrics go: "Need a little time to think / You don't gotta wait for me / You can do your own thing / While I do some work on me / I don't wanna make a mess of your love / And I can’t be the one that’s holding you up / You can do your own thing / You don’t gotta wait for me."
"Wait For Me" is the first song Nadine released since the successful launch of her visual album Wildest Dreams in 2020.
It was produced by Careless Music, Nadine's record label which is founded by her former onscreen partner and boyfriend James Reid.
Currently, Nadine is gearing up for a new film, which will also star actors Diego Loyzaga and Epy Quizon.
The thriller film, titled Greed, is written and directed by Yam Laranas, who is best known for his movies The Road, Aurora, and Nightshift. No further details about the title, such as its plot and release date, were announced.
Nadine was last seen on the big screen via Indak, which was released in 2019.
