"I've been frantic all day."

These were the words of Nadine Lustre following the onslaught of typhoon Odette on Siargao island, where she has been spending most of her time lately and where she has a home.

"My cortisol level hasn’t been this high in ages. I can’t even think straight. Please, let’s all help everyone affected by Typhoon Odette," she tweeted.

It is not clear though if Nadine was in Siargao when the typhoon hit the island.

In another tweet, Nadine wrote, "That trip to the airport wasn’t fun either. It was a freakin’ war zone."

In a series of posts, Nadine has also shared details of various donation drives and relief efforts for the island.

Typhoon Odette made its landfall on Siargao island on Thursday, December 16, at 1:30 pm according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Aside from Nadine, celebrity turned vlogger Andi Eigenmann, who has also been residing on the island, has been actively calling for help for the island on social media. Andi was in Manila when the typhoon slammed Siargao.

Andi has also shared that she is still yet to receive an update from her loved ones on the island.

"It pains us to not know what is going on with them over there. But I know that planes will be landing there tomorrow with relief goods, medical supplies, a search and rescue team and some doctors. And I hope that things will only get better from there. Hoping and praying that all our loved ones are safe," Andi posted on her Instagram Story on Friday.
