Actress and jewelry designer KC Concepcion shared her birthday message for her sister, singer Frankie Pangilinan, who turned 21 on Thursday, December 16.
On Instagram, KC shared a photo of herself with Frankie, which she captioned with her touching birthday greeting for her younger sibling.
"Happy birthday, Frankie! You’re 21 today and it feels like yesterday when I first met you fresh out of mom’s tummy in the delivery room," she said. "I pray that the years bring us closer together and that many great memories between us can be made! Enjoy your birthday in flight! I’ll miss you for the holidays this year but know that tho’ none of us is ever perfect, I am your older sister forever who can guide you with the lessons I’ve learned in life that may be useful to you — and I’m just a call away!"
KC is now in Los Angeles, California, where she is currently taking a Gemology course, while Frankie is coming home to the Philippines from New York, where she is pursuing a college degree.
In her post, KC added: "Praying that all your dreams come true — you are talented and your singing voice is tdf (to die for) plus your songwriting is amazing!!! Enjoy the holidays and your birth month!!! Love always, your ate."
KC and Frankie are both daughters of showbiz veteran Sharon Cuneta — the first with actor Gabby Concepcion and the second with her husband Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan.
Aside from Frankie, KC has two other siblings from her mother's side, Miel and Miguel. Meanwhile, on her father's side, she has four — beauty queen Cloie Syquia Skarne, singer Garie Concepcion, and Samantha and Savannah Concepcion.
Previously, KC said she's proud to have an "unconventional blended family."
"For those of you who don’t know, my parents married in their teens and unfortunately separated when I was a toddler. Today they have their own families, who are also my own," she said.
"I keep close to my siblings, or at least I do my part to, and to be honest, giving importance and nurturing relationships between both my families can be tough -- always a balancing act. But I love them all and my life wouldn’t be complete without them!" she added.
