Actresses Anne Curtis and Angel Locsin were among the Filipino personalities who were included in Tatler Asia's inaugural Most Influential list.

Unveiled on December 6, the list features 300 of the most influential individuals in Asia —in particular, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Philippines —and spans 19 industries and categories, ranging from art to finance to sustainability. They are individuals who "shape the region through their positive impact", and who "have relevance in their countries and beyond borders."

On Instagram, Anne, who was included in Tatler Asia's Gen T list from years 2016 to 2018, thanked the magazine for the recognition.

"Always honored to be alongside such respected individuals in their own fields," she said.

Angel, who was previously named among "Leaders of Tomorrow" in last year's Gen T list of Tatler Asia, also expressed her gratitude to the magazine in her post on Tuesday, December 14.

"Thank you for this humbling recognition [Tatler Asia]. Huge respect for all the esteemed individuals part of #AsiasMostInfluential," she wrote.

Aside from Anne and Angel, other Filipino honorees include social media sensation Bretman Rock, beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, singers Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo, Lea Salonga, and Gary Valenciano, and actresses Toni Gonzaga and Heart Evangelista.

John Arcilla, who won the Coppa Volpi for best actor from the prestigious Venice International Film Festival in September, and Hidilyn Diaz, who made history as the first Filipino athlete who secured a gold medal at the Olympics, were also included in the list. They were joined by actors Derek Ramsay, Solenn Heussaff, and Isabelle Daza, as well as TV personalities Bianca Gonzalez, Karen Davila, Korina Sanchez, and Kim Atienza.

Singers apl de ap, Arnel Pineda, Martin Nievera, Moira dela Torre, Rachelle Ann Go were also named, along with celebrities Georgina Wilson, Liz Uy, Vicki Belo, and Hayden Kho. ABS-CBN executives Carlo Katigbak and Mark Lopez were also part of the list.

"These are the people pushing Asia forward, and this vertical is a place to discover, learn about, learn from and connect with the region’s most influential people," said Tatler Asia. "From truth-seeking journalists to dynamic tech entrepreneurs and devoted philanthropists, our chosen honourees are those we ourselves aspire to be."

The magazine said the launch of Asia’s Most Influential is more than just releasing another list. Rather, "it’s the first step in building a community committed to making Asia a place to thrive."
