Daniel Padilla reveals how the pandemic changed him: ‘Ayokong sinasayang yung mga panahon’

In between shooting scenes for his upcoming new teleserye, Daniel Padilla took some time to talk to the press to promote his film Kun Maupay Man It Panahon’s inclusion in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

So I’m very excited na mapanuod nila kasi it’s very different and very beautiful,” he said during the press interviews for Kun Maupay Man It Panahon last December 12.

Daniel Padilla-Charo Santos film to compete in Singapore film fest

DJ said he is proud that his film had its international premiere at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland last August, where it competed and bagged a special award—the Cinema e Gioventù Prize, the Youth Jury award. Kun Maupay Man It Panahon had been chosen as a competing entry in film festivals in Hawaii, Iraq, London, Mexico, Chicago, Bucharest in Romania, and at the recently concluded Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF).

Pero it’s okay. First time ito sa akin so I’m very humbled and I’m very proud. So I’m sure alo na nabigla din naman sila sa kaya nating gawin in terms of movie making sa film industry natin,” he shared.

For those already preparing their list of movies to watch the MMFF, DJ hoped viewers can give Kun Maupay Man It Panahon a chance even though it is not the usual romantic project that longtime fans are used to seeing him in.

During the course of the pandemic, DJ said that his experience during the lockdown has changed him as a person.

I’ll do it. laging ganun. Walang kapalit. Mas ganun lang,” he told PUSH.

Kun Maupay Man It Panahon stars Daniel Padilla and Charo Santos and is a joint project of Dreamscape, iWant, Quantum Films, Black Sheep, and Globe Studios, with international partner studios in France, Singapore, Indonesia, Germany, and Qatar.
