After starting out in showbiz as a teen actor making his television debut in the youth-oriented television series Gimik which ran from 1996 to 1999, Marvin Agustin has come a long way from being the humble restaurant employee to becoming one of the most successful actors of his generation. In his Instagram post last December 10, the 42-year-old actor posted photos from his early days in show business. One of the throwback photos show Marvin posing with some of the cast and crew of his first television project Gimik which included the late Rico Yan, Judy Ann Santos, Diether Ocampo, and Mylene Dizon.
On his post, Marvin wrote, “Mga ‘90s look… check GIMIK barkada at the end in our Baguio shoot, keep swiping ➡️
“Ano favorite mong 90s show?🕺🏻#batang90s #gimik #whatamen”

Having evolved from acting to venturing into the competitive food industry, Marvin is now known as a successful entrepreneur and business owner with a growing number of restaurants nationwide. Even during the lockdown last year, the celebrity chef even grew his home-based baking venture into a full-blown business which has branched out into other food items. Marvin studied culinary courses at the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management in 2004. Last year, the former teen star reportedly backed out of a reunion project with his former ‘90s love team partner Jolina Magdangal because they were both waiting for the perfect vehicle for them to star in.
