Singer-actress Angeline Quinto has confirmed that she is pregnant in an episode of The Purple Chair Interview.

Talking to veteran host Boy Abunda, Angeline was asked about her recent Instagram post where shared the words, “a new life, chapter one.”

“Kaya ko po na-post ‘yun dahil kay Mama Bob (who passed away in November last year) at pangalawa po kasi, magiging nanay na rin ako,” she said, confirming the pregnancy rumors.

Clarifying the revelation, Boy asked, “Oo o hindi, buntis ka ba, Angge?” to which she answered, “Opo, tito [Boy].”

“Next year, tito Boy. April po,” she said, implying when she is due to give birth. She also later revealed that she learned of her pregnancy last September.

Likewise, Angeline also opened up about her non-showbiz boyfriend who has been with her for more than a year now.

Non-showbiz po,” she said.

When asked why she knew that he is “the one,” Angeline said, “Ganoon pala ‘yun, parang alam mo agad… So before nawala ang mama [Bob], na-meet pa niya si Mama Bob.”

Pero tinanggap ko kahit alam kong may mga kumplikado sa kanya,” she said, confirming that was how she knew she loves him.

When asked if the man pursued her persistently, Angeline said, “Alam mo, tito Boy, parang ang tagal ko kasing na-miss ‘yung kiligin ako. So ‘yun, parang ‘dun nag-umpisa po. Kasi po, meron din siyang anak sa ibang babae,” adding that the man, who is younger than her by three years, is not married. The 32-year-old singer later said that although she has not met his children yet, it was never a problem for them.

Meanwhile, Boy asked Angeline about the names they plan to give their baby.

Recounting the time when she learned of her pregnancy, Angeline admitted that she got scared at first.

She first informed her manager about it, who supported her, and then told her boyfriend after two days.

Angeline said that she already met her partner’s mother during Vice Ganda’s show in the United States. They ate dinner together, and admitted being asked by the mom about their wedding plans.

Siyempre in the future, kung ikakasal kami, siyempre papasalamat ako.”

Overall, Angeline said that she feels excited about this new blessing in her life.
