Veteran actor Albert Martinez is sporting a new look.
On Saturday, November 6, fans were surprised to see Albert sporting white hair and a full beard in photos shared by Nice Print Photo from the baptism of his grandson Arturo.
While this isn't the first time that Albert has been seen with a beard, this marks the first time that the actor has sported a full beard—and fans seem to approve of his new look, going by the few comments on Nice Print's post.
"So gwapo ni sir Albert Martinez," wrote one Instagram user.
"Ampogi naman ng lolo," said another.
Arturo is the first child of Alfonso Martinez, the only son of Albert with his late wife Liezl Martinez.
Aside from Arturo, Albert also has two other grandchildren: Adalynn Riley, with his daughter Alyanna, and Amati Mari, with his other daughter Alissa.
The actor also has another one on the way; last October, Alissa announced that she and her husband Paulus Reyes are expecting their second child—a baby girl.
Albert, 60, was recently seen in the erotic thriller film The Housemaid, which starred beauty queen-turned-actress Kylie Padilla.
In a press conference for the movie, Albert shared how manages to maintain a youthful look despite already being a "senior citizen."
“I’m officially a senior citizen. I’m 60 years old with real white hair. But through the years kasi, even when I was young, talagang I’m into working out, eating properly, and not abusing myself. And I know ito 'yung investment namin dito sa industry, we make sure to stay looking good,” he said.
Released last September, The Housemaid is the Philippine adaptation of the hit South Korean film of the same name, which competed for the Palme d'Or at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2010. It was directed by Roman Perez, Jr., it also starred Louise Delos Reyes, Alma Moreno, and Elia Eliano, with the special participation of Jaclyn Jose.
